Description

Spelt is a nutritious and flavorful ancient grain that retains nearly all of its nutritional value in the kernel so it contains high levels of proteins and carbohydrates, even after processing.


It's a good source of dietary fiber, thiamine, niacin, iron and potassium and is easy to digest. Spelt contains gluten but is tolerated by many wheat sensitive people. Spelt has a light, pleasant flavor and is easily substituted for wheat in recipes.
